Chris Albert has released a new CD titled Songwriter. It’s available on the Hideaway Record label and is featured on Bandcamp and Spotify. You can access the new CD here.
Mr. Albert has written, produced, and authored a song called “40 Acres” with a group called Papa John and The Farmers, which is currently on YouTube.
Chris’s second released CD, titled “Ain’t Hip Enough”, is available on the Hideaway Record label. It is on the streaming service Bandcamp, and you can find it here. “Ain’t Hip Enough” was considered for a Grammy for Best Americana Album – 2023, submitted through the International Folk Alliance.
Chris Albert is available for performances. He can perform solo, in a three-piece, or in a five-piece. He does a variety of music from the 50s through the 80s.

About Chris
Chris has been entertaining in Southwest Missouri and Texas for over 40 years. He is a songwriter, performer, record producer, music publisher, and the owner of a record label. Mr. Albert has recorded and distributed three personal CDs.
His first was with the group Techs and The Roadies, produced by Michael Brewer and released in the late 90s under the title “Covers”. It contains a mix of Americana, blues, and pop covers. The CD is available through many streaming services, including Spotify.
Other music he wrote and produced is on several Hideaway Records CDs, including a version of “Jefferson Road” sung by Michael Brewer on the compilation CD titled “MO Homegrown”. It’s a collection of songs by Missouri songwriters.
Chris is always writing songs, and he began recording in the late 70s in Dallas, TX, where he moved to pursue a music career. Chris found Texas to be a new adventure where he would continue playing clubs and Renaissance Fairs. He learned more about writing songs and helped start the Dallas Songwriters Association while learning recording techniques and music publishing. He owns two music publishing companies.
After 11 years, he moved back to Missouri to work in Branson as a sound tech and opened a folk club, Fernando’s Hideaway. He played with the group Techs and The Roadies for 15 years in various clubs and special events.
After the group disbanded, Chris Albert continued to entertain in Southwest Missouri and Texas. To this day, he is a songwriter and a record producer, and Chris owns two music publishing houses.
